SIBLING SUPPORT Services

A sibling support doula is present during labor and birth to offer complete emotional support for your older child(ren).

This specialty package includes two 1 hour prenatal visits where the doula will spend time to get to know your child, build connection with and communicate routine, care needs, and comforts of your child(ren). Your sibling support doula will be on call for you 24/7 in your due date range (from 38-42 weeks).  

When you are in labor, the doula can come to your home to provide support for your older child.  Continuous hands-on and skilled childcare for your child(ren) in your home during your labor and afterwards.  As a Sibling Support doula, I care for the older child(ren) in the family home until a designated guardian comes to care for the child(ren).

If the parent(s) are delivering at their home, the Doula can preoccupy the older children until the birth is over, or I can bring them in and out of the birthing area and help quietly and positively support them through the experience (this is optional to the parent(s)).

Sibling Support providers can make a world of difference if an expecting family has older kiddos who are still young and need the flexibility that an on-call caretaker can offer.
